map@mdx has five digital media workshops. The computers within each workshop are connected to our Avid NEXIS Server. This provides 540 terrabytes of storage and enables full integration of media projects across all of our Digital Media Workshops and our Editing, Colour Grading and Pro Tools Suites.

Digital Media Workshop 1: Graphics

Digital Media Workshop 1 is our 14-seat computer lab dedicated to graphics work. Each workstation is equipped with an Apple Mac Pro, Wacom Cintiq touch display and NEC monitor.

The workshop features an AV/lecturer workstation with a full HD video projector, screen and stereo sound system.

All computers are connected to our NEXIS Server, enabling access to teaching materials and seamless project integration across all of our Digital Media Workshops and Colour Grading, Pro Tools and Edit Suites.

Digital Media Workshop 2: Video & Audio Editing

Digital Media Workshop 2 is our 20-seat computer lab dedicated to video and audio editing.

Each workstation is equipped with an Apple Mac Pro and two high-end NEC reference monitors.

The workshop also features an AV/ lecturer workstation with two full HD video projectors, screen and stereo sound system.

Like Digital Media Workshop 1, all computers are connected to our NEXIS Server, enabling seamless project integration across our post-production facilities.

The workshop features an AV/lecturer workstation with a full HD video projector, screen and stereo sound system.

All computers within the workshop are connected to our NEXIS Server, enabling seamless project integration across our post-production facilities.

Digital Media Workshop 4: Multimedia

Digital Media Workshop 4 is our 19-seat computer lab equipped with high-end 5K iMacs. It is suitable for any type of media production work.

The classroom features an AV/lecturer workstation with a full HD video projector, screen and stereo sound system.

Once again, all computers within the workshop are connected to our NEXIS Server, enabling access to teaching materials and seamless project integration across our Digital Media Workshops and Colour Grading, Pro Tools and Edit Suites.

Digital Media Workshop 5: VXF & VR

Digital Media Workshop 5 is dedicated to visual effects, games design and creative technology.

Configured for collaboration, it is comprised of 27 fixed workstations arranged in four pod clusters and three sit/stand mobile workstations that are electronic height adjustable.

Each workstation is equipped with a Specialist PC or Mac Pro, Wacom tablet and an Eizo 2.5K 27” self calibrating monitor.

Each pod has a 65”4K Sony LED screen and a wireless presentation system, allowing users to share their computer screen or content from their own personal devices.

The space features a range of AR and VR novel input devices, including eye trackers, brain sensors, leap sensors and haptic vests.

All computers are connected to our NEXIS Server, enabling seamless project integration across our post-production facilities.
